FREE THE WEB

If you knew the Internet in the first decade of this century. You may have asked yourself the question: What has happened to the Internet?

Perhaps many websites have already disappeared. But I also assure you that many are still there. But why can't we reach them? why don't they show up on Google?

The internet we know today has changed since that golden age when there were thousands of communities and pages. At that time it was relatively easy for traffic to reach a website that you created altruistically. Hell, I remember that I created a website about video games and traffic was coming. And not only did it come to my website, it is that these people actively participated in the forum.

Not only has this changed, but I can assure you that without active SEO it is physically impossible for something like that to happen today. And even if you get it, the traffic you will receive will not be from people interested in the entire topic of your website. They will always be looking for an answer to a question.

The main reason for all this: Money.

Google aims to maximize its profits by placing ads on top of search results. Google was never interested in people being able to “surf” the internet. They are only interested in answering questions and making the user spend as much time as possible on Google. If they can give you the answer extracted directly from a website to prevent you from abandoning them, the better. Of course not without first seeing an ad attached to that same answer. In fact, today the concept of "some advertisement" has become "many advertisements".

And if that wasn't enough. Google's algorithm will be giving you the answer it thinks you want to receive. If you wanted more information on a specific topic you can try to go to the second or third page of results. But once again, results will not appear that contain what you have searched for, but what Google thinks you want to see. There is a little hack using "quotes" to search for specific text. Although it does not work very well and in the end the problem still exists.

On the other hand, we have Amazon, which with its affiliate program has created a small economy that makes competing to be well positioned at the SEO level profitable. That is, Amazon pays website owners to send traffic to their shop. Therefore website owners need to maximize their user acquisition through the search engine.

They do this by deliberately searching for search terms that people might be highly interested in. For example “best marker for drawing”. And immediately afterwards they optimize their web page so that the Google robot believes that this page answers the question that we users are looking for.

When we see that same web from the point of view of a human, we will clearly see that there are things that do not fit. The text for example will be deliberately "weird".

The main problem with this type of practice is that they hide web pages that have very good content. Hidden by the websites whose products they describe and want you to buy on Amazon no matter what.

And once again Google is interested in this type of business flowing. Since it increases the income from advertisers who try to compete against the SEO results. For example, some time ago it decided to put an end to the option that you could inform yourself in those large communities in which there were real people without economic motivation. Giving real and non-manufactured opinions.

At this point you are probably thinking that you have also noticed some of this. And you would not be the only one, there are hundreds of people who think the same. There are articles that talk about this problem Google search is dying

The time has come to make ourselves heard. The problem exists, now people will create a solution. Let's fight this. FREE THE WEB.
